Withdrawn Goldtop with P90s (lacquer finish. Newer or vintage)

Nuthin wrong with lacquer over poly IMO It won't age like vintage but the old skool Bacchus finishes are typically quite thin and it's hard to beat the quality of Deviser builds like the BLS line circa 1998 - 2005 Only problem is try locating any of those now days ....... I sold about a half...

    The mythical Greco egf 2500?

Any guitar, just as any other item, is worth what any one person is willing to pay for it; period. Back in the 1980s I frequented the annual GSWGS in Dallas, Texas for several years. I saw many vintage Fender, Gibson, Gretsch and Martin guitars trade hands for what then seemed like crazy over...

1981 catalogue LS-50 "Polyester" finish versus "Polyurethane" finish used other years

Considering the OP I can say that I have owned and played non inkies tokais and inkies too, and in a range of lower grade to higher grade. It has been my experience that all examples in my hands, no matter the finish chemistry, the finishes have all been quite thin. I can't say that for the...

    Withdrawn RARE 2011 Bacchus BLP-CTM CR w/Bigsby

I decided to withdraw this example based on recent news from my source at Deviser. Info is production of set neck examples at the Aska facility is at a crawl and may not improve for years. They seem to be putting out tons of bolt on neck stuff ........

Any evidence of natural relicing of Love Rocks?

I have owned and played Tokai LS examples from 'vintage' to more modern and at pretty much across every grade; have yet to see a single example demonstrate lacquer checking. Not a single one .........

    LS200 Gallery 1979-

that had been listed @ the 880,000 yen ($5,867 USD) start price for several days and ended with one solitary bid price on this example was a lot lower than some I have seen sell for previously

    1980`s History HS-335 ?

I'm not really impressed by the seller. Their lack of knowledge and specifically their use of the term, "Made during the MIJ lawsuit era" are pretty much vomit inducing. This example is most likely a Terada made 335, circa 1996...

    1980`s History HS-335 ?

So, as I was saying in my previous post I'm not aware of any 1980s era History guitars. I did a simple Google search on the interwebzesz (thanks Al Gore) and I came up with this. https://history.gt/electric/about/index.html Translated of course, here via deepl ....... the first sentence of...

    Mr.Momose is gone….

Thanks for posting that; I wasn't aware he was fighting such an illness. The Momose legacy as a craftsman, a luthier and a considerable force within the Japanese guitar building boutique market is pretty much unmatched by any others. RIP
