Interesting. I don't have much knowledge nor have I looked into this with any depth just caught my attention as I have a CH15...serial number Tokai Love Rock with a more distinct/legit looking top of headstock. When I bought it from long time dealer since changed hands through retirement I was told about the court case establishing Tokai's right to build the Gibson models but that they were made in Korea. So I suspect I may have a somewhat more convincing fake.
Unfortunately, I only have a cheapo giveaway basic digital camera when they were first being manufactured - never upgraded as I simply aren't into photographing things that much. Thus my initial attempts at capturing my Gold Top (more like emerald tbh) are not of sufficient quality to post but I will still work on that as obviously could be very useful/conclusive in some small way.
