hello

i was wondering if you can help me?
i recent got a tokai from a German friend but i dont know much about her, i know its quite a god guitar but i dont know the model or anything
It is a black love rock tokai, with serial C090977
on the internet i can find information that says that the serial belongs to a japonese made 2009 tokai, but no model no specifications no nothing.
it looks like a ls-85 or ls-92 but i really dont know.
can you help me????

It's made in China (the C in the serial number indicates that). Not sure of the model.

in some places they said that the korean models start with A, B OR C
can that be truth?

Those Korean models you mention are from around 2001 and have a serial number accordingly.

This is however a 2009 model made in China.
Not a LS-92 but an ALS-48, basswood body & maple neck.

Korean Serial Numbers's

Current Made In Korea (MIK) models have serial numbers that start with a letter (A, B, C, etc) but a date scheme has yet to be determined. Certain models have serial numbers as seen in the table below.
Guitar Serial Number Date Info
2001 Limited Edition Model number - not serial number 2001 only
Love Rocks Custom Shop Serial Number 2002 and maybe 2003
Love Rocks Serial Number starts with letter 2003
Love Rocks Serial Number starts with number first 2 digits=year 2004, maybe 2003

We posted simultaneously, see my last post on this subject

thanks for the info
anyway I have a friend who has the als 48 and seems to have a different neck, thicker and glossy
this seems thinner and dark ...
what are the visible characteristics between ALS 48 and the LS-85???

can this bu truth or just fake

2009 LS-92 is Japanese made.
Easiest way to differentiate those from Chinese made:
- the serial number (7 digit, no letter)
- 2 screw TRC
- no bridge post inserts

Anyone can log a guitar there. If you don't know what you have, your log will be wrong..
